Sequence of Operation
The Patented design of the Mechaneer Industrial Self Loosening Hose Nut moves the two halves of the hose nut apart which increases the diameter of the hose nut. When the diameter of the hose nut is increased, the hose nut loosens itself and makes it much easier to remove than existing hose nut designs. Seriously, how much easier is it to loosen?
Due to the patented design, the typical reduction in torque to remove the nut is 80%. In testing with the 1.5 inch unit, a torque of 200 ft-lbs was measured to remove the old technology "hammer on/hammer off" design. This required torque was reduced to 20 ft-lbs using the Mechaneer Industries Self Loosening Hose Nut!!
